Fourth IT Exhibition in Kabul
In December 2019, a two-day exhibition of student's IT projects took place in Kabul for the fourth time. On December 14, 2019, Dr. Nazir Peroz, Head of the ZiiK of TU Berlin, together with the team of the IT Competence Center Afghanistan (ITCC Afghanistan) welcomed the students with their projects as well as the many guests. The Afghan Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Balakarzai, then ceremonially opened the exhibition together with the head of the office of the First Lady of Afghanistan, Mrs. Amerkhil, in the premises of the ITCC Afghanistan.
Computer science students from 11 Afghan universities presented a total of 20 IT projects. Out of these, a jury of representatives from science, economy and politics selected the five best. These were awarded prizes during the 15. IT Conference which began the next day:

Since 2016, the IT exhibition has been organized annually by the ZiiK of the TU Berlin in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and the ITCC Afghanistan. It was financially supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) with funds from the German Foreign Office.
